Welcome!
I am a student in the MA/PhD program at the UCLA Department of Ethnomusicology. My interests are varied: my first musical training was in Scottish highland bagpipe music, and as an undergraduate I studied saxophone with an emphasis in jazz. Today I primarily study traditional and contemporary musics of Sahelian and Saharan Africa, including Tuareg guitar music.
